How to build a single AA battery pack?
I put 4 AA NiCd or NiMH in a holder (Radio Shack 270-383) and connect the two together tracks positive and negative. A decision by a DC (Radio Shack 274-1565) when the battery needs to be refilled and the other to a DC plug (Radio Shack 274-1567) for when I want to use their power. Will it work?
One AA battery (pronounced "ay-ay" or "double A") is a dry cell of a type commonly used in portable electronic devices. Electricity production of alkaline batteries in this size is 1.5 volts, 1800 to · 2600 mA h, while the rechargeable battery output variable frequency 1.25 V. The production of a AA battery is the same as that of a AAA battery, but AA batteries provide energy over a longer period (hence its greater size). A single AA battery measures 50 mm long, 14.2 mm in diameter and weighs approximately 23 g (1.97 x 0.56 inches and 0.81 ounces). The capacity of rechargeable AA batteries varies depending on the technology used. Nickel-cadmium (NiCd) AA with a capacity of 650 and 800 mA H are commonly available, while as 800 to 1000 mA • H are rarer and more expensive. Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH AA) are available in various capacities ranging from 1400 to 2700 mA ⋅ h AA NiCad are commonly used by people to feed the car models or other (relatively) high current-draw devices, where NiCad outperform NiMH technology. NiMH AA is designed for applications high current are becoming available for construction use of these and have a lower capacity (1400-1600 mA • h) cells NiMH batteries higher capacity.
